Syntia Rose is an experimental pop duo with Frida Blomberg Håvardstun & Magdaléna Manderlová.
They formed in 2017 under the former name Pinecone, exploring live electronics and vocal improvisation. Pinecone recorded and released their EP In the Black Water I See the City in 2017, with music inspired by music concrète.
The duo turned their abstract, long lasting soundscapes into songs with an experimental backdrop of delicate organic sounds, synths, and intuitive melodies, and adopted a new name. In the spring of 2020, Syntia Rose came out with two singles Japanese Flowers and Cold Water.
